this is a story i wrote



In the beginning, before WindDare closed its portals, WindDare was a place for the outcasts of the universe.

About ten parsecs away from the evil nebula sits a small planet by the name of Fluorauna it is covered in lush green fields and forest. The planet is inhabited by wood elves that have made elaborate tree houses among the forest to form villages. The capital city lay to the north of Ubel. But some of the elf people, once they hit the time of maturity, had developed strange powers and their eyes changed from evening blue to navy to silver gold. These different ones were outcast from there villages, because of their psychic abilities. The outcast banded together and formed a village in the fields. They lived happily and peacefully in their tight nit village. Within the outcast villagers was a young couple Wyatt Yoru and Eileen Yoru. Wyatt had short shaggy reddish brown hair and silver gold eyes with a light tan tunic and light tan pans with a black slash to hold down the tunic, he is a fairly strong man with a good heart. Eileen has long light down hair pinned back with a green hair band, silver blue eyes with a long light tan dress that was tied off in the middle with a black sash. At the beginning of Safuyu a baby girl was born to them. She was born with silver golden eyes. “Kav” Eileen said wearily as she holds her newly born child. “Kav Yoru,” Wyatt said as he sits on the edge of the bed next to his wife and newborn and smiles at Kav.

One mid-noon, about fifteen days after Kav was born, Rahim came running up to Wyatt and Eileen. Wyatt was working on the garden as Eileen played with her child. “They just sent out a message from the capital city. They said that the fear has grown too much against us and they plan on “taking care of it”,” Rahim said bowed over with his hands on his knees, trying to catch his breath. Wyatt goes over to his friends to see if his is all right. Eileen gets up holding Kav with worried looks on her face, “What are we going to do Wyatt?” Eileen stands up and looks at the both of them “I have heard of a place that we can go called WindDare. If we can make it to Gu, which is about seventeen parsecs away, they will come and take us there.” “But how will we even get off of Fluorauna? We have no way to travel among the stars, let alone knowing which way Gu is.” Eileen said worriedly. “You know that old elf that Doc had outcast because of all his gadgets and experiments. He has built a vessel that is able to fly among the stars.” “Does it work?” Wyatt stunned said at he look at his friend with whiled eyes. “Doc says he been up over the clouds and seen Fluorauna from the stars view. I have seen myself him take out in this flying vessel” Rahim says looking at them both with wild look in his eyes. Wyatt looks over at Eileen with a wearily face, “I guess we do not have much of a chance, other than to try to make it to WindDare.”

The night before they left, Eileen sits in a rocking chair, which her father had made for her mother to rock Eileen to sleep late at night, holding Kav starts singing to her.
“if the darkness is there

You will be packing a bag for a place none of us has ever been
a place that has to be believed to even be seen

that will fly for freedom…” Eileen stops singing as Wyatt walks out of the bedroom and smiles at the two of them. “Why did you stop singing?” as he walks over to them, Eileen sighs as she looks down at Kav in her arms. “You worried about the trip to Gu tomorrow, are not you?” Eileen nods in response, “Do not worry things be ok.” as Wyatt puts his arm around Eileen to reassure her.

Wyatt puts the last of their stuff into a bag and throws it over his shoulder. Eileen puts Kav in to a sling that drapes over her so that she can carry her on her chest. They start up the hill over to old Doctor’s place. Already a group of them are waiting there, they were all nerves and restless because the soldiers from the Ubel draw nearly every day. The Doctor come out and announced that they may start boarding the ship; the group starts to go into the vessel. The ship does not seem like much from the outside. Pieces of woods from odd place were nailed to the outside making it looks as if it could fall apart at any second. Once they got in, the inside looked sturdy in a sense. Metal sheets covered the walls like it was wallpaper, there were no windows, or any true sets to sit in, just pieces of rope imbedded into the floor so that they could tie themselves and their stuff down. All who did fit sat down as Doc walked in look at them all and then when throw the door at the top of the room. The room began to shack valiantly as load roar sound came from the backside of the room. Some of the woman cleaning to their husband; Eileen holds Wyatt’s hand and looks at him worriedly. Wyatt holds her hand back as he looks back at her and smiles. Then everything was still and silent, other then the roaring from behind. Suddenly the shacking start up again and gets worse, violent shaking of the room makes it seem like the whole place is going to fall apart. Children start crying, some screamed as the roaring thunderous throw the room. Then it all stop as suddenly as it began, lose thing floated off the ground and up into the air. Doc comes out of the room wearing metal boots to keep from floating off, he looks at the passengers. Everyone is shocked and confused to way things are floating around. Doc clears his throat “We will arrive at Gu in about four minutes.” A sigh of relief is heard over the crowd.


Everyone starts to calm down; the ship begins to feel like it was nothing new. Just when things feel relax and peaceful, the floating objects begin to fall out of the air onto the ground. Eileen wakes up after Kav doll hits her head. A low murmur begins again over everyone. The room shifts forward and back. The Doctor comes out of the top room again and announces “We are here.” he goes over to the wall and hits it three times and the wall falls open to desolate rock. Reddish brown dust flies up into the air from the door hitting the ground. Once the dust settles they start to head out, not knowing what to expect from the strange world. Off in the distance a green cloaked figure stands there, a hand comes out and beckons them to come closer. They walk over to the cloaked finger in fear. An eerie silence falls over every one, except for Kav who keeps making happy nose. The green cloaked man takes off his hood, short reddish brown hair moves a little from he taking off his hood, his golden eyes look over them all. Even though he is wearing a cloak, one can still tell he is robust, and looked no older then a late 20’s, even though he is thousands of years old. “Come with me.” he said in a kind but deep demanding voice. People start talking again, “Who is he?” “How did he know where we were going to be?” More questions come up then answers. They stop just in front of the shadow line; the cloaked man turns around to face the crowd. “I’m Vayzen Wind Elder of the North Star Wooden Elf. I’ll be taking you to WindDare northern side, where you shall be living, but the only way to get to WindDare is by shadow jumping.” He pause “I know that you all have the ability of doing this on your own, but your skills have not been developed right.” he looks over them all, “I want you all to hold hands to form a line and Never let go, no mater what happens.” He waits from them all to do what he has said, then he smirks a little and grabs the first person hand that is free and walks into the shadow disappearing. The elf behind him starts freaking out; Eileen and Wyatt draw near to the shadow’s edge, and disappear into the shadow too. In the other side its pitch black, Wyatt could not even see his wife in front of him; he holds her hand titer to reassure himself that she is still there. Wild screams and short burst of zoom noise come from all around; sounds of metal scraping against stone and then that metal being tested by cutting the air. They all feet a strange eeriness of some one is watching you walk through their land in the middle of the night. After a minute of walking them see a faint red fire light appears off to the right. Down the line talk of if this is the place they are heading for start. The red glow draws near becomes bigger; screams start coming from the back behind Wyatt. Sounds of metal hitting flesh reaches their ears, as the screams and sounds craw up the line, Wyatt grits his teeth in pain as some thing rips at his leg. The line starts moving faster and then into a run, as they quickly come out of the shadows into the light. Wyatt and Eileen fall back onto spongy green grass. They made it came through the shadow. The trees around them curved every which way, black tiger strips line the tree’s trunks. Some begin to wonder if this is place is their new home, other murmur about what happened in the dark. “We are not there, and we were attacked by the Shadow critters” Vayzen announced sternly. “Why are we taking such a deadly path? If I wanted to lose my loved once, I would have stayed back on Fluorauna.” an angry voice shots out from the group of them. “It is the only way to move through of parses in minutes by shadow jumping.” Vayzen says sternly “Now, if every one has treated their wounds and gathered their stuff again, we can continue.” Eileen puts Kav back in her caring sling as Wyatt tie the final note on the wrap around the wound on his leg. Wyatt grabs Eileen’s hand and helps her up, then pulls her to the font of the line. He smiles at her, she looks back at him worried. “I’ll be fine Eileen, but no matter what happens from here on out, I want you and Kav to stay close to Vayzen. He is strong will keep you save from whatever is in there.” Wyatt said holding her hand tier looking at her lovely, Eileen nods in understanding. They start back into the shadows again, they keep popping out and in of the shadows into strange worlds. Minutes pass, it’s been a while sense any one seem light, nothing but darkest all around. Only the sounds of their feet hitting the ground eco back to them. Light hits Eileen’s and Wyatt’s faces as they walk into tall hunter green stems that have violet flowers looming over them. Maroon tree trunks with sapphire leaves sway in the wind. “We will rest here for awhile.” Vayzen says leaning up against one of the strange tree trunks. Wyatt redresses her wound as Eileen feels and takes are of Kav.
Some time later, the light begins to fade around them, Vayzen stands up, “Lets go before it gets dark.” The group looks at him and then begins to gather their things and forms the line once more. Vayzen grabs the free hand in the font of the line as he walks off into the ever growing shadow of the trees. Once in the shadows again, deathly quite surrounds them, not even the echo come back. The sounds of whoop with drums start up faintly in the far distances. The group start to get scared and crunch up closer to one another making the line shorter. A tug on the end of the line spreads them out temperature; no one thought much of it, someone must have tripped over their own feet. Sounds of medal ripping throw cloth and hitting flesh, the red flame light appears right beside them. They could see the creatures, dark blacked voice in the shape of a man with four arms; two hands have razor edged talons and with the other two hands hold swords. White upside down crescent moons lie on their chest, vividly shown compared to the glooming black around them. The line dashed into a run, but the dark voices keep up. Vayzen holds his free hand out “Leicht!” he shoots as a light shot out of his hand hitting some of the creatures closer by them. Allowing them to gain some head way, but did not last long as more shadow men come down in font of them. Vayzen quickly dashed to the right to avoid them, the shadow men swing at the line. Wyatt screams out in pain as he is hit by their claws on his shoulder. “Wyatt!” Eileen screams hearing her husband screams from behind her. “Eileen I want you to go closer to the front of the line, I’ll be there shortly.” Wyatt says feeling the blood drip down his back. “But… Wyatt..” Eileen says as tears fall down her face looking back at her husband. “Eileen, I’ll be with you soon.” Wyatt lets up their conjoined hands to whip the tears from her face. “I love you, now go” as he pushes her farther to the font of the line “I love you too” Eileen shoots back at him. Eileen keeps one hand on the people in the line and other on Kav how is nestled against her chest. She makes it to the font of the line and works her way back in second from the first. Tears still flow down her cheeks down to the stone cold floor. When things seemed at there worse, another attack comes from above. Vayzen seems them and changes course again, the shadow men land right next to Eileen. She screams as the creature draws up his sword and coming down on her, Vayzen holds his hand back “Leicht!” as white light throw the creature back away Eileen in time; but the creature next to sword baring one claws at her lags, leaving deep bloody scratches from her midways down on her right side. She shrieks as she ties her grip on the hands she is holding, determined to not let go. her lags feel like they would not make it, when a soft glowing night blue light surrounds her. They breached into the middle of the woods; Trees that seem to reach the clouds them self surrounds them, glowing blue Lillis make up the lights of the woods. Doors and windows are carved out in the trucks of the trees to form homes. They had made it, Eileen falls into her back. The one in font of her and behind her, ness down to see what is wrong. Blood pools out of her side. One of them takes Kav out of the sling and holds her. Vayzen comes over and see the blood; he kneels down with the other two and puts his hand over her to try to heal her. Eileen opens her eyes to see them Vayzen and the two other around her. “lease let me hold my baby Kav” Eileen says wearily, they hand her Kav. Eileen sits up a little, Vayzen tries to stop her, but she dose not lesson as she hold Kav close to her “My dear Kav, my sweet child, I want you to know that I and your daddy both love you very much and hope that you grow up to be strong and healthy away from the world of hate that lies beyond here.” Eileen takes off her green hair band and hands it to Kav. Kav grabs it and starts to nibble a little on it, Eileen smiles “Remember that this hair band is a sign of our love for you Kav” Eileen turns to Vayzen and looks at him “lease take good care of my Kav” she hands Kav to Vayzen as tears fall down her face. Then she falls back “Wyatt I’ll be with you soon.” She looks at Kav and Vayzen as she starts singing Kav’s lullaby, with her arms stretched out toward Kav, in barely a whisper, “if the darkness is there to keep us apart
if the daylight feels still to far off
And your glass heart dose break
And for a second you want to turn back
Oh no….. be strong …..walk on…”
Then her arm falls and she close her eyes for the final time, tears still falling down her dimming cheek. Vayzen stands up with Kav in his arms and looks up at the sky through the tree tops and turns and walks away with a single tear falling out of the corner of his eye.
